Connie was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on July 6, 1954 to Charles (Charlie) and Constance (Jean) (nee McLean) Seemann. She attended schools in Oxbow and Swift Current where she graduated with high marks. She attended the University of Saskatchewan for one year but decided it was not for her. She pursued a career in accounting in Swift Current, Lethbridge, Saskatoon and Young. She was an active member of the Lethbridge Christian Tabernacle where she met many friends. Reading was a passion. She spent countless hours reading her favorite books – Harlequin Romance novels! Connie’s quick wit and sense of humour will be remembered by those close to her. She inherited the sewing gene from her mother and grandmothers. Over the years, she sewed many of her own clothes. Cooking, canning, making jams and jellies gave her pleasure and a sense of accomplishment. Her peach jam and beet pickles were family favorites. She loved spending time at the family cabin at Beaver Flat where many hours on rainy days were passed playing cards and kitchen bridge. Life presented her with many health challenges which she faced with courage, strength and willingness to overcome. The last few months were challenging for Connie. She was hospitalized in both Saskatoon and Watrous. Connie passed away peacefully at Royal University Hospital on Monday, November 8th, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Jean Seemann, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings: Linda (Tony), Penny, and Richard; Uncle Bob and Aunt Lorraine, nieces Rachel (Alex and Blake), Christine and very special friends Ralph and Twyla. Special thanks to the caring staff at Royal University Hospital and Watrous District Health Complex for the care they gave Connie during her stay there. Arrangements have been entrusted to Aimé Laventure – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200. A family gathering will take place at a later time.
