Cora Marie Gilbertson

August 31, 1918 - March 3, 2014

Cora Gilbertson passed away at Samaritan Place in Saskatoon on March 3, 2014. Cora lived to 95, and she passed on after having a full life with a loving family and wonderful friends. Cora’s family was the joy of her life - together with Henry, her husband of 64 years, Cora had 4 children, 10 grandchildren and just recently, 2 beautiful young great granddaughters. In addition to Henry, Cora was survived by: her eldest daughter Jacqueline (son Philip); her son Ronald (spouse Debra, children James and Emma); daughter Lorraine (spouse Robert, children Matthew, Christana, Jon, Sarah and Robert); and son Denis (spouse Julie, children Jesse and Anna). Vigil of Prayer for Cora will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6th. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 7th. With Very Rev. Ron Beechinor presiding. Both services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Parish. Rite of Committal to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cora’s memory may be forwarded to either St. Francis Parish or The Friendship Inn.
