Mr. Donald Edwin Spanier

Don was born in Cupar, SK on Jan 10/38. His parents, Alma and Albert had 5 children in total.

Don married his wife Wilma on Oct 12/59, (65 years of marriage this Oct/24).

They have 3 children in Cathy, Lyle, and Cory (Lana).

Don had a few jobs like most people before settling into his main career.

That career was being the owner of a construction company (Apex Concrete).

Don and Earl (brother/previously deceased), drove Apex to success before retiring many years ago.

Don’s other brother Garnet (Debbie) live in Fort Qu’Appelle.

Sister, Darlene currently lives in Kelowna, BC.

Sister, Diane (previously deceased, Ont).

Don had an astute business mind with the ability to help many with life’s issues. Overshadowing Don’s accomplishment of running a successful business was the fact that he simply was a good human being.

Behind every successful person during their career is a partner helping behind the scenes. Wilma was that person for Don helping him to focus on his business. After retirement and right up to his passing, Wilma was his 24/7 personal assistant as Don’s health failed him.

Don requested that no formal service take place, only a private gathering with his wife and 3 kids.

One tradition that will stand - some baby duck will be drank for a toast to what was truly a great life that was well lived!

Dad will live on in our thoughts and memories.
