Donalene Marie McKinnon

The family of Donalene is saddened to announce her sudden passing. Donalene was born and lived most of her life in Saskatoon. She was always a compassionate and caring person which guided her careers throughout the years. She graduated from St. Paul’s School of Nursing and later obtained a degree in Social Work. She worked at Client Patient Access Services for over 20 years where she was well loved by both her clients and colleagues. Donalene is survived by her siblings Ben (Judy), Neil, and Laurie (Giles), her children Stephanie Shibley (Bruce), Andrea Stack (David), Christina Pylypchuk, and Lesia Pylypchuk, grandchildren Jakob, Jennifer, Andrew, Anna, Rebecca, Leila, and Olivia, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Marie, and two brothers, Brian and Bob. Donalene had a passion for music and was known for her beautiful singing voice. Her true joy was spending time with family, playing cards with cousins, hugging her daughters, and watching her grandchildren grow. Donalene will be truly missed by all who had the fortune to be around her. Mom’s tiny stature, large heart, and youthful spirit touched everyone she met. A celebration of her life and church service will be held in the summer. Family and friends will be notified. Arrangements entrusted to Aime Laventure.
