She is survived by her three beautiful children Chris, Clint and Tena; siblings Mary, George and Elizabeth; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Dorothea was born on October 16, 1948, in Huntington, Quebec. Dorothea worked for the government in Ottawa, Ontario before marrying the love of her life in 1975 and starting a family. Dorothea spent many years as a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful children which were pride and joy, she was very proud to be a mom and remained at home until the children were in their teens. In 1998, following her husband’s heart attack, she returned to the workforce at a local grocery store in the small town of Bruno, Sk. She moved to Saskatoon in 2002, where she worked as a Walmart Cashier for 16 years before she lived a retired life until her passing.
Dorothea was a very kind, funny, always smiling, friendly, beautiful soul person who was very well-loved by her coworkers and customers. She had the privilege to serve in her retail jobs. She was full of life, and her three children were very proud to call her their mom, and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she has touched.
At this there will be no celebration of life, we may decide to have a celebration of life in spring of 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations Dorothea’s name may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society.
