Dwight King entered the presence of his Lord Jesus early in the morning of December 10, 2025. He leaves to mourn his wife Elaine; daughter Robin (Mike); son Patrick (Ashley); grandchildren: Jessica, Brandon, Destiny, Nicolas, Isaac, Grace; great-grandchildren: Conner, Weston, Adalyn, Kade, Hayes, Malikai, Silas, and Nala. He also leaves behind his siblings: Cheryl (David), Janice (Dale), Dwayne (Glenna); brother-in-law Lorne; sister-in-law Maureen (Dean); numerous nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law.
Dwight enjoyed many careers over his lifetime but especially enjoyed being a pastor. His caring heart and warm hugs touched many people’s lives.
Dwight had twinkling eyes and a warm, welcoming smile. He was known for his sense of humour and could get people giggling in no time. He made friends wherever he went.
He loved architecture and his favourite hobby was designing houses. He would spend hours fine tuning his plans and making minute adjustments. He also loved history, particularly that of WWII, and would read about it for hours.
He thoroughly enjoyed football cheering fervently for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the New England Patriots.
He spent a lot of time listening to the music of the 50’s and 60’s. He would list dozens of those songs as being in his top ten favourites.
After their marriage, Dwight and Elaine were privileged to travel across Canada, to the United States and to their favourite destination – Hawaii.
Dwight loved his family. His wife, Elaine, was the apple of his eye. He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Most important of all was his firm faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Through all life’s challenges, he didn’t lose his faith.
His last years were difficult as he faced many health challenges, but he kept his radiant smile through it all.
Dwight was predeceased by his parents, his father-in-law, and his sisters Laurine and Marilyn.
