With extreme sadness we announce the passing of Ed Nazarenko at the age of 82. Ed grew up in Saskatoon and at a young age started a painting company which he operated for two decades. In 1981 he followed his passion and dream of owning a restaurant and operated Mr. Rizos restaurant for thirty six years until retirement in 2017. In 1959 Ed met Myrna Moen and on July of 1961 they married and celebrated sixty years of marriage until Ed’s passing. In 1964 they started their family Darcy, Bart and Lori. Family meant everything to Ed as did his beloved dogs over the years. Ed was predeceased by his precious daughter Lori in 2016, which he never fully recovered. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Myrna, sons Darcy and Bart, grandson Dawson and son-in-law Wade. He was also predeceased by his sister Helen in 2009, brother and best friend Roy in 2013. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 6 at 3:30 p.m. at Acadia McKague’s Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive). Ed’s family would like to thank the staff at Circle Drive Special Care Home for the exceptional, compassionate care he received during the last few months of his life. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Circle Drive Special Care Home (3055 Preston Avenue South Saskatoon, SK S7T 1C3).
