April 14, 1948 – August 23, 2020
It is with devastating sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Theresa, son James (Beth) of Radisson, daughter Sherri of Allan, and his 4 grandchildren Emma, Joanna, Jacob and Rebecca. Farming and mechanical work were Ed’s passions, along with woodworking, welding and tending to the yard. Ed enjoyed sharing his love of fishing and hunting with his children. Family trips were often made to Mirond Lake each summer. James and his father would often go off together to closer lakes for weekend and fishing get-aways. James also inherited his father’s mechanical skills by spending countless hours in the workshop side by side repairing vehicles. Sherri and her dad would often go scouting for deer and although there was no getting Ed on an airplane, he was proud to recount her adventures when she travelled overseas on her hunting trips. Teaching Sherri to operate combines, drive grain trucks and various other equipment provided Sherri with skills and desire to become a local farm hand. Ed and Theresa enjoyed their yard daily, drinks on the deck and BBQ suppers was a common occurrence. Ed spent many years teaching Hunter Education in local communities. His patience and sense of humour would put students at ease. As per Ed’s wishes, a private service will be held.
