

Emmanuel, age 88, passed away peacefully at St. Ann's Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2014. He is dearly loved and remembered by five children: Mary Rose Stang, Gloria Stang (Mo Alain), Tarcy (Bev) Stang, Tim (Vivian) Stang, Terrence Stang; six grandchildren: Leigh (Danette) Stang, Heath Stang (David Kirsch), Ben Alain (Brianne Fitzpatrick), Jessica Stang, Jonah Alain, Jasmin Stang; three great-grandchildren: Braedon, Kennedy, and Julia Stang; and one step-daughter, Lynn (Kelvin) Blair and her family. He is also survived by his twin brother Leo Stang, and two sisters Katherine Stang and Agnes Erker as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Nora (Turcotte, Smith) Stang, his parents, twelve brothers, and four sisters. Emmanuel was born in Macklin, SK on January 21, 1926. He worked for the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and the Saskatoon Separate School Board. Vigil for Emmanuel will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Chapel at St. Ann's Home (2910 Louise St.). The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Macklin, SK.
