

Passed away on November 29, 2012 in Saskatoon Sask. at the age of 92. At the time of her death, Ethel was surrounded by the love of her four sons and daughters- in-laws Dennis (Jean Campbell) Terry (Susan), Craig (Sylvia) and Kent (Cathy) Anderson, eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by her husband Carman in 2000, a brother, and two sisters, and survived by her sister Ruth. Ethel was born in Moose Jaw Sask., and lived for the majority of her life in Calgary, Alta. Ethel is honoured for her work as a church founder and was instrumental in the establishment and growth of Altadore, Bonavista and Richmond Hill Baptist churches. Ethel was an active community worker, providing her clerical, organizational and reception skills to the CGIT movement, Junior League of Calgary, many church communities, and a number of early childhood education programs. Ethel’s outgoing personality and her capacity and interest in meeting and serving others inspired those around her. Ethel was an active reader and learner and participated in Bible Study and Fellowship groups throughout her life. She is fondly remembered by many for her contagious welcoming smile and greetings, and her keen interest in the lives of others. Her family and many friends echo the scripture ”Well done good and faithful servant”.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday December 7, at 2:00 PM Richmond Hill Baptist Church 7251 Sierra Morena Blvd SW, Calgary. All are welcome to attend and to meet with her friends and family.
