Frank Werner, 57, passed away on March 21, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Frank was born in Saarbrücken, Germany on September 15, 1968. In his youth, he tried various jobs, including art welding, until ending up as a truck driver. This sparked the beginning of a 40-year passion of long-haul truck driving. At the age of 30, he met his wife Natalia, and they started building their life together in Rechtmehring, Germany. Frank and Natalia shared a life goal - moving to Canada so that Frank could continuing driving a truck there.
In 1998 they welcomed their daughter Nicole. Frank proved himself to be a dedicated father and spouse. Ten years after their initial dream, Frank, Natalia and Nicole moved to Canada alongside very dear family friends. It was in Saskatoon that Frank fulfilled his dreams of trucking and travelling all over North America. He loved it so much that in 2013 he bought his own truck, and in 2016 he switched to working for Select. During his ten years there, his coworkers became his second family. A family made of shared experiences, mutual respect and passion for the job.
Throughout Frank’s 40 years of traveling the world, many people got to know his kindness, knowledge and humor. He was fiercely loyal and made many great friends along the way.
In his final months, he was surrounded by love and prayers. Those prayers allowed him to keep fighting as hard as he did, and in the end, he was grateful to see the love he poured into the world come back to support him, and his family. We are eternally grateful.
As his final days approached, Frank never showed fear. He took the health news for what they were and ensured his family and friends would be set up for a world without him. After 30 years of being together, Frank and Natalia finally married, with their daughter by their side. This wedding allowed the family to achieve one last goal together - eternal love and a shared last name.
Frank will be forever missed by his wife, Natalia Werner, and his daughter, Nicole Werner.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Acadia McKague's Funeral Chapel, 915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon, SK, S7H5N4, CA, on March 30, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a live stream available at https://www.youtube.com/live/yFQeMMDYKmY.
