George Gorgchuck

January 14th, 1936 - June 15th, 2015

George, “Chuck”, passed away in his sleep at home, on Monday June 15th, 2015, at the age of 79 yrs. He was born in Saskatoon to Leon & Mary Gorgchuck, the youngest of 4 children. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, June (Fehr),of 55 years; son, David (Sandra) & daughter Julia ( Joe) Escarda; two grandsons, Will ( April) Kew & Daryl Kew; and two great-grandchildren, Kora & Kohen Kew; also his sister Elizabeth Campbell; sister-in-law, Vera Gorgchuck; brothers-in-law, Allan (Mary) Fehr & Randy Fehr; and sister-in-law, & Mary-Ann Combe, in Winnipeg MB; as well as many nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Martha Woytowich; and brother Peter. George had many different jobs. He was a handyman and could fix anything (almost), but found his favorite one with the City of Saskatoon as the city locksmith from which her retired from in 1999, after 28 years of service. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19th at St. Peter the Apostle Parish (1121 Northumberland Ave). If preferred, donations may be made to St. Peter the Apostle Building Fund (#8 Moore Place, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3Z8). Special thanks to the staff & management at Samaritan Place for their kind and loving care of George during his stay there for almost 2 years.
