Gordon Leslie Rempel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Leslie Rempel, age 65, on Feb 14th, 2025. Gordon was born on June 14th, 1959, and was predeceased by his beloved wife Linda and his mother Rose.

Gordon leaves behind his two children; Andrea (Mike) and Chad (Carrie) as well as his two cherished grandsons; Weston and Wyatt and step grandchildren; Lucas, Emmett, Fraser and Vienna. He is also survived by his father John, his siblings; Brenda (Ken), Bruce (Ghislaine), Gary, Kim (Debbie), Darrell (Cathy), Shirley (Winston), Averil (Lewis) and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Gordon was also deeply devoted to his two dogs; Ryder and Gunner.

A true family man, Gordon was loved by all who knew him. His caring and selfless nature meant he always put the needs of others ahead of his own. Gordon was known for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing and snowmobiling, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Some of his happiest memories included travelling across Canada to watch football, sledding in the mountains, spending time at Shell Lake, and nothing made him happier than being out on his prized possession, his boat.

Gordon was a successful business owner, co-owning Rempel Brothers Construction with his brother Bruce. He took immense pride in his work, playing a key role in helping the city grow and prosper. His dedication and commitment to his business and community were evident in all that he did.

In a beautiful and fitting tribute, Gordon chose to leave us on Valentine’s Day, the day he shared with Linda, the love of his life. Their reunion brings comfort to all who loved him.

An end of Life Celebration will be held to celebrate Gordon’s life, and details will be provided at a later date.

Gordon’s legacy of love, selflessness, and devotion will live on through his family, friends and the many lives he touched. His presence will be solely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
