It is with great sadness that the family of Henry James announce his peaceful passing after a very short by courageous battle with cancer. Henry was born in Dorchester, in the county of Dorest, England to Rosemary James and the late Courtenay James. At 10 months of age with his family he immigrated to Unity, Saskatchewan where he grew up, made lifelong friends and met his wife. He married Linda Rotzien on August 20, 1988 and together they raised two wonderful boys, Adam and Marcus. In his short life, he was able to instill in them his love of photography, remote control airplanes/drones, camping, canoeing and fishing to mention a few.
He was predeceased by his father Courtenay James; father-in-law George Rotzien; and his niece Victoria Gregoire. He is survived by his wife and children Linda James (nee Rotzien), Adam and Marcus; his mother Rosemary James (Regina); brother Rupert (Susan) James (Regina); sister Letitia (Dan Gravel) James (Parkville); mother-in-law Elizabeth Rotzien (North Battleford); sister-in-law Jaqueline (Glen) Gregoire (Saskatoon); Doug (Terri Lyn) Rotzien (Wainwright); and numerous Aunts/Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Henry’s Life will at held at Mayfair United Church (902 33rd Street West, Saskatoon) on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Cancer Research, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care Unit (1702 – 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9) or to a charity of your choice.
