Irene Gorin

November 29, 1920 - September 23, 2017

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Irene Gorin, age 96, at St. Paul’s Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband, Clement Gorin; son, Denis; parents, Alfred and Marie Dubreuil; siblings, August Massé; Marie Assié, Maurice Massé, Lucien Dubreuil, and Celine Sherwood; son-in-law, Armand Pinel; grandchildren, Lyle Roenspies, Dallas Neveu, Tysene Gorin, and Hope Sloan. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by her nine children, Hélène Pinel, Denise (Denis) Roenspies, Doris (Lorne) Backstrom, Allan (Val) Gorin, Celine LaPointe, Marian (Garry) Oleksyn, Maggie (Nick) Fiorante, Sharon (Brian) Neveu, Norm (Josée) Gorin; 31 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 21 great-great grandchildren. A Vigil for Irene will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2017. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Both services will be held at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church (217 Lenore Dr.) in Saskatoon. The Celebrant will be Fr. Matthew Ramsay. The Rite of Committal will be held at 3:30 p.m. at St. Brieux Cemetery, St. Brieux, SK. Special thanks to St. Paul’s Hospital staff and St. Volodymyr staff.
