It is with sadness that the family of Jewel Littlecrow announces her passing on Monday, September 5, 2016 with her family by her side. Jewel was born in Sturgeon Lake and grew up in Whitecap Dakota First Nation. She was strong willed, generous and had a love for horses, blanket making and family. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Roderick, Michelle, Iris (Alvis) and Esther (Alfred); her 22 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and her extended family and friends. A Wake Service for Jewel will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 4:00PM from the Elementary School Gymnasium in Whitecap Dakota First Nation. The Funeral Service will be held from the same location on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 2:00PM. Arrangements entrusted to Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (306.955.1600).
