John Douglas Stewart Tinline, 62, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan passed away on April 19, 2023 surrounded by family and friends. He was born to parents Robert and June Tinline on November 20, 1960, in Glasgow Scotland, and arrived in Canada by boat at the age of 3 weeks. John grew up in Saskatoon and was well known for his love of adventure and passion for the outdoors. When John wasn’t visiting historical sites in Europe, snorkeling in Central America, or canoeing rivers of the Amazon jungle, he could always look forward to the annual Geikie River trip with his closest friends. John is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Anna, sons Christopher and Matthew (Rachael) and grandson Forrest, siblings Jennifer (Alan Merkowsky) and children Kaitlin and Cameron, Robert, Judy (Ric Winchester) and children Dylan and Ian, and Ross (Yvonne) and children Trevor and Garret.
A celebration of John’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 2nd at 10:30 AM at St. Philip Neri Parish.
