KAREN FAY UMPHERVILLE 1953 2011 It is with the deepest sorrow that Karen's family announces her passing at St. Paul's Hospital on Friday, June 24. Karen was born in The Pas, Manitoba, on June 10, 1953, and spent her growing up years in Prince Albert and Yorkton. A kind, loving and generous woman, Karen loved to laugh and saw only the good in everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by family, friends and nursing co-workers at City Hospital. Predeceased by her father Roderick Umpherville, brothers Jerry and Keith Umpherville, and husband Mel Ohochinsky, she is survived by her sons Les and Mike Ohochinsky, mother May Olson (Al), sister Jean Meikle (Wayne), brother Kim Umpherville (Bernice), sisters-in-law Donna Umpherville and Colleen Umpherville; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. James Anglican Church, 607 Dufferin Avenue, the Rev. Diane Mesh officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The family would like to thank Acadia McKague's Funeral Centre for their guidance.
