

It is with heavy hearts that the families of Leslie John Archie Thompson announce his passing on July 7, 2021. Leslie was born September 12, 1938 to Earl Leslie and Mary Jane (nee Whitman) Thompson. Leslie grew up on the family farm near Pleasantdale, SK with his parents and siblings. Leslie was predeceased by his mother, father, siblings Hyacinth (Roy) Bradley, Audrey (Frank) Smood, Wayne Thompson and daughter Lisa Thompson. Leslie leaves to mourn his beloved wife Susan of 12 years; siblings Sandra (Peter) Bood, Melba Mayner and sister-in-law Linda Thompson; children Darwin (Glenda) Thompson, Laura (Duane) Rawling, Connie (Dave) Morrison, Jennifer (Troy) Connors; stepchildren Loretta (Derek) Czarnota, Kevin (Margaret) Fehr, Tracy (Mike) Buchinski; grandchildren Devin Thompson, Patrick Thompson, Jesse Rawling, Ashley Thompson (Satwinder Singh Bhatti), Jonathan Norman, Kimberly Norman, Andrew Norman, stepgrandchildren Trysten Fehr, Eleanor Fehr, Meadow Buchinski, Lily Buchinski, Isabel Czarnota and Lucas Czarnota; great-grandchildren Jace Thompson, Kyra Thompson and Isaiah Singh Bhatti. Les was a huge Toronto Blue Jays fan and he enjoyed camping, gardening and mechanical work. He fixed many a person’s vehicle and was always ready to troubleshoot any mechanical issue. In recent years, he enjoyed traveling around the countryside and seeing various Saskatchewan treasures. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at Aberdeen Community Hall (202 – 2nd Ave., Aberdeen, SK). Internment will follow at the Aberdeen Cemetery.
