Liliane Marie Marguerite Syrenne

Liliane Marie Marguerite Syrenne, age 92, of Saskatoon (formerly of Midale, Saskatchewan) passed away on July 15, 2025, at St. Ann’s Senior Citizens Village. She was born on September 9th, 1932, in St. Front, Saskatchewan to William and Laura Richard.

She was the second youngest of eleven children, born to French Canadian parents. Her early education was completed at St. Raymond rural school in St.Front. To complete her high school education, Liliane attended the Catholic Girls School at St. Malo, Manitoba. Entering her young adult years, she moved to Humboldt to begin her first job as a waitress. Shortly thereafter, she became engaged and married Marcel Adrien Syrenne on November 17, 1955, at St. Front, Saskatchewan.

The married couple moved to Midale, Saskatchewan in 1955. They had 5 children: Estelle, Luc, Robert, Michelle and Daniel. Liliane enjoyed: crocheting, knitting, costume making, literature, gardening and of course baking. She was actively involved in the community at Midale, which included: the Catholic Women's League, volunteering for the Museum, the Manor, and numerous civic events. She was a dedicated mother and wife.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband (Marcel), six brothers: Raymond, Lucien, Maurice, Leo, Robert and Rene; two sisters: Laurette and Annette; son-in-law; John Psutka; and granddaughter, Renee. She is survived by her 2 sisters; Jeanne and Cecile; her 5 children: Estelle Psutka of Ladner, BC, Luc (MaryAnn) Syrenne, of Nipawin, SK, Robert (Karen) Syrenne of Mission, BC, Michelle (Travis) Campbell of Saskatoon, SK, and Daniel Syrenne of Benson, SK; and 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

The Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Sts-Martyrs-Canadiens Church (1007 Windsor Street) in Saskatoon, SK.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Ann’s Senior Citizen Village, who provided Liliane with compassionate care.
