Lillian Allen, age 101, died peacefully in her sleep at Parkridge Centre in Saskatoon where she received excellent care for the past 8 years. Lillian lived in Prince Albert for most of her life where she raised her family and was an active community member. She moved to Saskatoon in 1986 as one of the original residents of St. Volodymyr Villa. Lillian loved people, especially babies and young children. She has left her family with many fond memories which will live forever in our hearts. Lillian was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1980, daughter Barbara Bekolay, son-in-law Don Bekolay, grandson Todd Bekolay, and siblings Jean Brown, Bill Brown, Helen Hazen and Margaret Barnes. Lillian is survived by her son Ronald Allen (Janice) of Baltimore and their 3 children Melanie McConkey (Mark), Thijs Allen (Stacy) and Stefan Allen (Kate); her son Tony Allen (Sandy) of Saskatoon and their three children Bryce Allen (Jamie Bergen), Jason Allen (Lisa McDougall) and Lori Allen (Bretton Dufresne); Lillian is also survived by Barbara's two children Tim Bekolay (Mia), Tami Bekolay (Bob Dumonceau); Todd's widow Peggy Bekolay; her sister Barbara Colville (Toronto); as well as 13 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and many well-loved nieces and nephews. Nephew Bob Allen (Jeanne) spent many hours in Lillian's home during his youth. Great granddaughter Tara Mathieson (Kyle) had a special connection with her Nana and had many fun outings. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held later in the summer.
