It is with great sadness that the family of Marcella “Marcy” Hoffman passed away peacefully on November 24, 2017 at St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit surrounded by family. Marcy was born on March 17, 1927 in Humboldt, SK to Richard and Eleanor Stroeder. She was the eldest of ten children and was raised in Lake Lenore, SK. Marcy is survived by four sons and their families, Lorne (Linda) and children Marney (Craig) Martin, Michael Hoffman, Steve (Miranda); Lyle (Gail) and children Brett (Kyla), Shaun (Christine); Leon (Karen Maga) and children Loni (Bill) Harvey, Jordon, Curtis and Callee Hoffman, Alyx and Erika Maga; Les (Bonnie) and children Samantha and Jasmine. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren, and her siblings Dorothy (Ron) Campbell, Lucille (Jim) Stothers, Murray (Gerda) Stroeder, Denise Stroeder and Duane Stroeder. She was predeceased by her husband Albert Hoffman in November 2000; her parents Richard and Eleanor; siblings Warren Stroeder, Verna Stroeder, Viola Gerwing and Lenore Couture. At Marcy’s request, there will be no Funeral Service. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Come and Go Tea on November 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the Hampton Inn (105 Stronebridge Blvd, Saskatoon, SK). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (1000- 191 Lombard Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3B 0X1) or Palliative Care Unit C/O St. Paul’s Hospital (1702 20th Street W, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0Z9). Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held in the spring of 2018 at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Kenaston, SK.
