May Der (Wong Chui Fong) passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015. She is survived by her husband, Frank Der (Der Yee Fong), daughters Alice (Darrel Young), Jean (Brendan O'Reilly), Diane, Joannie (Dave Couroux) and two grandchildren Lauren and Carter. An active member of the business community, May ran several restaurants alongside her husband including the Sportsman and the Chinese Wok. She was outgoing, loved socializing and took pleasure in meeting and talking with family, friends and customers.
