Hazel Merle Johnson, age 98, passed away Friday, November 28th at the Luther Special Care Home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She was born in Spy Hill, Saskatchewan June 20, 1927 to loving parents Vera and Mervyn Greer.
Merle was preceded in death by husband Adolph (Shorty) Johnson, daughter Colleen, son Greg, daughter-in-law Bev, and brother Allan. She is survived by daughters Karen (Al) and Shannon (Duane) and sons Terry (Pat), Colin, and Neil (Elaine). Merle also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She will be missed by friends and other family members.
Merle lived a full and rewarding life, focusing her attention on her large family. She liked to garden, cook, knit, read, and travel. She and Shorty especially enjoyed trips to California, Nevada, and Hawaii.
Merle had a special place in her heart for friends and staff at Luther Special Care. They in turn loved her for her accepting, gentle nature.
