It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at the age of 50. Michael was born in Hamilton on October 22, 1965 to Ronald and Marsha (Leith) Slobodian but lived most of his life in Saskatoon. As a young child he grew up in hockey rinks and horse paddocks. As an adult he had a great passion for pulling wrenches, racing cars and riding his Harley Davidson. Michael had developed many lifelong friends in Saskatoon but also had a special love for his four legged companions as well. Michael is survived by his sons Leland and Marshall Slobodian; his sister Shawndel Slobodian-Arneson (Derek); and nephews Noah and Joshua Arneson. He also leaves to mourn his special friend Angie Grey; and lifelong friends Eric Veerenhuis, Kristina and Launy Smith; as well as his aunts, Margaret Deane and Mary Ellen (Joe) Love. Michael was predeceased by his mother Marsha; father Ronald; two brothers Russell and Aaron Slobodian; stepmother Audrey (Block); uncles Ron Deane and David Slobodian; and cousin Bonny Slobodian. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Saskatoon SPCA (5028 Clarence Ave, Grasswood, SK S7T 1A7) to support Michael's love of animals. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Mayfair United Church (902 33rd St West) in Saskatoon, SK. Officiating will be Rev. Deb Walker.
