Nathaniel Lee Patrick Bear

It is with the heaviest hearts to announce the passing of our beloved Nathaniel Bear, a loving son, brother, uncle, the second oldest of his five siblings, a caring friend, and a cousin to many. Nathaniel Bear was born on July 12, 1994 (27 years). He passed away on Feb 27th in Saskatoon, SK. Nathaniel lived a brief but beautiful life full of love, laughter, and always knew how to light up a room. From his late-nights with his friends, to his trips to Vancouver, he was his happiest with his family and friends. He watched his nieces and nephews grow with so much love. Nathaniel was loved and cared by so many, he was an amazing young man, and moved with genuine compassion. Nathaniel had unbelievable strength and a smile that shined so bright. He was a warrior on this earth before he left to the Spirit World. He spent his most recent years standing up for MMIW and Indigenous rights with his older brother. We know he is watching from above, flying with the eagles, and the ones that passed on before us. He will continue to watch over us. A traditional ceremony funeral will be held on Mistawsis First Nation, at 11:00 a.m., at the school gym.
