It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Norman Swinnerton of Saskatoon announces his passing at the age of 81 years, after a short illness. Norman will be lovingly remembered by Larree, his wife of 57 years; children: Graeme (Colleen), Gordon and Donovan (Jackie); grandchildren: Taryn (Taylor) Allison, Joshua, Julia and Alex Swinnerton; Sister: Karen (Gord) Haverstock; Brother-in-law: Brian (Joan) Gauld; as well as numerous relatives and friends. Norman was predeceased by his parents: Don and Kay Swinnerton. Norman was an amazing husband, Dad, Grandpa, friend and mentor. Family was always his first priority, and that legacy will live on. He also loved to volunteer his time through his involvement with Nutana Lions Club, Sunseeker Good Sam Club and Grace-Westminster United Church. He held many positions and achieved many awards including receiving the highest honor of being inducted into the Saskatchewan Lions Hall of Fame in 2017. His leadership and involvement will surely be missed when organizing events and fundraisers. A Celebration of Life for Norman will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Grace Westminster United Church (505 10th St. E, in Saskatoon) with Reverend Daryl Woods and Reverend Don Barss officiating. The service can be Live Streamed from http://youtube.com/channel/UCxRz4Pc2CewL_aHKpN0zA0A. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that a donation be made to the Royal University Hospital Foundation designated to the Dr. Ali Rajput Endowment for Parkinson’s Disease. The family also wants to sincerely thank the staff on the oncology ward (6100) for their incredible care and compassion. Arrangements are in care of David Schurr – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200
