Reginald MacIntosh

July 21, 1940 – November 30, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Reg at St. Paul’s Hospital at the age of 75. Reg is loved and remembered by his wife of 54 years, Dolly; his sons, Brad (Kathy) and Darren (Joan); grandchildren Evan and Maegan (Rob); brothers, Stew (Marilyn) and Wes (Karen); sister-in-law, Elsbeth MacIntosh. Reg was predeceased by his parents Bill and Ruth; and brother Doug. Reg grew up on the family farm east of Wilkie with his three brothers. He was a gifted athlete, playing baseball (an excellent pitcher), hockey (Wilkie Outlaws) and also spent many years coaching his son’s baseball and hockey teams. In 1957, he graduated from McClurg High School in Wilkie and started his banking career there. During this time he met and married his wife Dolly Hartman. Together they lived in Ponoka, Alta, where their first son Brad was born. They then moved onto Prince Albert where Reg worked as an Auditor with the Saskatchewan Government. In 1965, he started his job as an Auditor with Revenue Canada in Saskatoon, where their second son, Darren, was born. Reg worked with the CRA until his retirement in December 29, 2000. Reg was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and enjoyed wonderful times with family and friends. Reg and Dolly travelled to many countries (Costa Rica, Ecuador, Europe, Palm Springs and many, many cruises!!) Reggie, Dad, Gramps, will surely be missed by all those who loved him. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff at the Cancer Clinic, RUH, City Hospital, St. Paul’s and Palliative Home Care for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic or any of the Saskatoon Hospitals. A Private Family Committal will take place this upcoming week. The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating Reg’s life, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Parish (Munroe Ave and Taylor St).
