1944-2015
It is with great sadness that the family of Bob Puderak announce his sudden passing on March 7th. Born during World War II in Niederroth, Germany on January 13, 1944 to Mary and Andrew Puderak, Bob would immigrate as a young child to Canada with his parents where they settled in Saskatoon. In 1957, the Banach family would also settle in Saskatchewan and it was then that Bob would meet Irene, a special lady who would become his best friend, his soul mate, and in 1965, his wife. It was a marriage made in heaven, which they would celebrate for over 49 years. Bob’s work career was in retail, spending nearly 20 years at Sears and 22 years at The Bay. Bob was a hard-worker and, throughout his career, would be recognized with various management positions and numerous awards. Bob was a natural-born teacher. He loved to share his knowledge in the many areas where he had a passion. He would start a pigeon club for the local kids in Prince Albert, and coach soccer in Saskatoon for many years for the Kelsey Redmen, the North Stars and later the Paladins. In recent years, he was the attentive teacher-grandpa to his two grandsons. The boys say that Grandpa always had the best stories and words of wisdom. Bob’s interests were many. They included: photography, fishing, bowling, camping, and traveling with his family. He loved to build things as well as home renovations. His talents resulted in many fences, decks, basements and sheds at the homes of family and friends. He loved nature. Many a bird found a home and many a squirrel found a peanut thanks to him. Bob was someone you could count on to help, always putting the needs of others before his own. But he received the greatest satisfaction from his family. They meant everything to him and he was their biggest defender and supporter. Bob is dearly loved and remembered by his wife and soul-mate Irene; his three children Danylo, Diane Prytula (Nick) and Micheal (Karrie-Ann); as well as his two precious grandsons Dawson and Jackson. He is also survived by his brother John (children Shelley; Randy and family); brother-in-law John Banach (Alma; children Crystal; Devin; Jay and families); as well as his many friends. Bob is predeceased by his infant daughter Kathy; parents Andrew and Mary and parents-in-law Frank and Kay Banach. A Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 7:00 PM and a Divine Liturgy Funeral will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2015, both services will take place at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral of St. George (214 Ave M South, Saskatoon). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Salvation Army (339 Avenue C South, Saskatoon, SK S7M 1N5). The family sincerely thanks the emergency responders. Ð’Ñ–Ñ‡Ð½Ð°Ñ Ð¿Ð°Ð¼'Ñть!
