

Bob was born on January 29, 1941, in Saskatoon. The family moved around a few times, but most of his childhood was spent in Colonsay. After graduation, he worked as a baker in Saskatoon before attending the Saskatoon Business College. On June 1st, 1968, he married his wife Dianne. On June 7th, 1971 they welcomed their daughter Leanne. Bob spent most of his career at the Greater Saskatoon Catholic School Division. Later, he found tremendous joy in driving chaser cars with his wife and friends.
Bob is predeceased by his wife Dianne (Hittel) Petryshyn, parents Mike and Mary (Sadowick) Petryshyn, brother Walter (Flo) Petryshyn, his sister Julie (at birth), mother and father-in-law Phillip and Bertha Hittel, in-laws Alice (Ben) Koch, Ed Hittel, and Eileen (Tony) Ehresman. He is survived by his daughter Leanne, son-in-law Garnet Sloman, grandchildren Jenna and Ryley Sloman, sister Judy (Kerry) Foster, sister-in-law Erma (Ted) Matthews, sister-in-law Darlene Hittel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was known for his friendly, generous, and outgoing nature. Throughout his life he enjoyed camping, driving chaser cars, traveling, going on picnics, and exploring the open highway. He very much enjoyed going for coffee and having breakfast with several of his friends. He cherished all of his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends. He loved having his grandchildren live with him while attending university. Most importantly he was loved and will be terribly missed.
Time of Fellowship for Bob will be at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Acadia Funeral Chapel (915 Acadia Drive, Saskatoon).
