Roberta Mary Anderson (nee Langdon) passed away at City Hospital on October 9, 2015 with her family by her side after a heroic battle with throat cancer. Roberta was born on October 23, 1945 in Melfort, SK. She attended Golden Stream, a one room school, in the Resource district and finished high school at MCCI in Melfort, where she then worked as a telephone operator , before moving on to Saskatoon to do secretarial work. Roberta lived for some time in Malawi, Africa, Guyana, South America, Nassau, Bahamas and for the past 35 years, in Saskatoon. She spent 25 years wintering in Mesa, Arizona with her late husband, Andy (Moffat) Anderson. Without children, Roberta had many close friends within her condo association, in Arizona and in both her own and Andy’s families. We are truly grateful for all of the well wishes from them, for their warm visits and their sincere concern for her well-being. Roberta is predeceased by her husband, Andy Anderson, and her parents, Edith and Charlie Langdon. She leaves to mourn her passing her four sisters, Marjorie (Bob) Scully, Edmonton, AB, Audrey (Doug) Lovegrove, Saskatoon, SK, Cathie (Lawrence ) Natyshak, Indian Head, SK, Shirley (Glenn) Barclay, Biggar, SK and one brother, Charlie (Rosemarie) Langdon, Ashern, MB; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children. We would like to thank Dr. Sharma, the 4B unit at St. Paul’s Hospital, the Transitional Care Unit at City Hospital and the Palliative Care Team. A Celebration of Roberta’s life will be held at Acadia-McKague’s Funeral Centre (915 Acadia Drive) at 1:00PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
