It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ryan Michael St. Germaine announce the sudden passing of Ryan on September 6, 2025 at the age of 42. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Ryan was born on March 1,1983, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan at St. Paul’s Hospital.
Ryan was a devoted husband to his wife Anka, a loving father to his four children and three step children and a loving grandfather to his two grandchildren. He worked hard to provide for his family. He worked his entire life from a very young age first as a construction worker and then onto being a roofer. Ryan loved camping, fishing and most of all driving the boat with the biggest smile on his face. He loved playing baseball, he loved music, tattoos, cooking, biking, spending time with his family and friends, and especially time with his wife and grandkids. Ryan had a heart of gold for the people he loved and cared about. He always went above and beyond to help others. Every Saturday, he would go help his uncles and his mom Maxine, it didn’t matter what the task was he always did it with a smile on his face. Every Sunday, he would be playing his music, cooking breakfast for his wife, step daughter and grandson. It didn’t matter how tired he would be he would always be in the kitchen every Sunday morning cooking away.
Ryan shared a profound and enduring bond with his niece, Haylee. Following the passing of his brother Landon, Ryan lovingly embraced the role of a father figure in her life. Haylee deeply cherished her uncle and he in turn, was unfailingly devoted to her. Regardless of the time of day or the demands upon him, Ryan always took her calls - even while at work - never allowing her to feel anything less than a priority. Together they created countless treasured memories, from enjoying coffee outings to spending quiet moments in one another’s company. Above all, their most beloved tradition was camping, where they found joy, laughter and comfort in the outdoors.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Royal University Hospital, the ICU doctors, nurses and support staff during this difficult time and for all of their care.
Left to mourn Ryan and cherish his life are his wife Anka, mom Maxine, stepdad Randy, brother Jesse, his children Kelton, Kayla, Thomas and Max, stepchildren Rachelle, Jocelyn and Paige, step grandchildren Aidan and Kensley, stepbrother Jeff and stepsister Amanda. Also aunts, uncles, his niece Haylee and close friend Jessie and many cousins. Ryan was predeceased by his grandmother Cecile, grandfather Eldric, and his brother Landon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
