Siegfried John Frank Lang

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the peaceful passing of Siegfried John Frank Lang at Silver Heights in Raymore, SK, on November 20, 2025. Siegfried was born in Raymore/ Semans District on February 1, 1933. He completed his grade 10 at Saline Creek School and helped his Dad farm until he took it over. He married Marjorie Murray on June 6, 1964. They remained on the farm north of town until October 1996, when they moved to Raymore for nine years and then to Wynyard in October 2015. A year after Marj passed in 2020, he moved back to Raymore to Silver Heights. Dad was a farmer at heart, but he also loved to learn new things and was always taking classes for anything that piqued his interest. He was an avid snowmobiler and raced the oval tracks, usually bringing home his trophies for Mom to display. He had a lot of friends and made friends wherever he went. He loved to play cards, go dancing at Danceland, take trips to see family and participate in Church life and community. He travelled with Marj to Europe, Peru, Mexico, US and Canada’s east coast. Siegfried is survived by his children: Ernie (Fran) and family; Carol (Dan) and family; Judy (Andrew) and Karen (Jason); as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, his sister Rose; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Marj; his parents Frank and Barbara; brother Henry; and two sisters Margaret and Winnie. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, his laugh, his helping hands and jokes. Sieg’s family would love to thank the staff at Silver Heights for their compassion and care during his time under their care.
