Beloved husband of Debra Stares (nee Lethbridge) for 40 years. Loving dad of Alayna-Beth Hanchuk (Aaron), and Derek Wyatt (Malanka). Proud papa of Eli-Michael and Arlo Hanchuk, Slater and Wylder Topper-Wyatt. Predeceased by his sisters Gwen Luck, and Eileen Lynott. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Allan had a passion for hockey and enjoyed coaching, teaching and inspiring the young players for over 25 years. He worked at Algoma Steel for many years in security, and he was proud to finish his career as the Fire Chief. His biggest love and passion were his family, he was a loving husband, dad and papa and will be dearly missed.
At Allan’s request, cremation has taken place. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Jumpstart or Sault Area Hospital – Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated.
