Curtis Robert Leach

With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Curtis announces his sudden passing on Thursday, August 7, at the age of 56.

He was the beloved son of Madeline "Maggie" Scott and the late Robert Leach. Loving father of Jordan Courtemanche, Madison Orlando and stepfather of Alishia Beland. Dear brother of Julie Leach (Mike), Sheri Rousseau (Steven) and Shawn Scott (Tinszia). Stepbrother of Wally, Jen and Michelle. Special uncle of Amanda, Scarlett, Sebastian and Klarissa. Great uncle of Tenley. Special cousin of the Dobson's; Tammy, Dave, Kayla (BFF) and Natasha.

Curtis will be missed by many extended family members, friends and special friend Kyla.

Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, he came to the Sault 32 years ago where he spent the rest of his days. Curtis, a man who was many things to many people, always willing to lend a hand. A giving man with a big heart, at times generous to a fault. Picking up strays was not uncommon for him.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle and father. When it came to family though, he was always happy to have and make the best memories, big fires, big laughs and of course, craziness.

He also worked in many garages, even his own, with many good friends. In a garage was his comfort zone and it gave him a sense of camaraderie. He was well known for his body work and his pristine paint jobs. Self-taught to make a vehicle run, sparkle and shine better than when he got it from the auto wrecker.

He also enjoyed his time working at Lyons Timber Mart as a boom truck operator for a number of years.

There are many things we could say about Curtis, in fact, far too many to mention.

Perhaps not a perfect saint but certainly an adventurous soul.

Just a little tidbit of information, he was credited with keeping Old Vienna in business over the years.

He will be forever missed, but never forgotten.

As per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to The Salvation Army Community or St. Vincent Place or a charity of your choice may be made in Curtis's honour.
