BRUNI, Domenico – Passed away peacefully in the arms of his family surrounded by much love at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, August 30, 2011. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Gilda and six children who adored him; Rosina Patterson (Richard) of Ottawa, Maria LeClair, Santina Medaglia (Ross), Adela Bruni (Allan Crisford) of Ottawa, Lucy Januel (Stephane) of Ottawa and Joe Bruni (Jennifer). His greatest treasures in life were his grandchildren who will miss their fun loving Nonno; Ross, Joshua, Rosalie, Meranda, Julia, Robbie, Lyric, Matteo and Julien. Predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Rosina Bruni. Survived by his brothers and sisters in Aiello, Calabria; Venturo Bruni (Cichina), Francesco Bruni (Antonietta), Louisa (late Saverio), Elvira Greco (Francesco) and Maria Bruni (Francesco). Survived by a very special cousin and friend Vanda and Mario Mazzuca of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by his mother and father in law Giuseppe and Maria Cino. Brother in law to; the late Nicolina Vozzo (late Antonio), Carmella Greco (late Natale), Pasqualina Veltri (Guilo) all of Italy, Angela Grandinetti (Joe) and Franka Vommaro (Frank) of Sault Ste. Marie. Domenico will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, September 1, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm. Funeral Mass celebrated from St. Veronica Catholic Church on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11 am. Rev. Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. Thank you to Dr. Febbraro and Dr. Spadafora for their care as well as cancer clinic staff. A special thank you to RN’s Kelsey, Karen, Ursula who helped care for him in his final hours. Memorial contributions to the SAH Cancer Care Fund would be greatly appreciated by his family. Our daddy was an avid gardener. Even in sickness, this spring he planted a beautiful vegetable garden for his family to enjoy. Rest in peace Papa.
