Don is now reunited with his wife Nancy. Father of (late) Lynne, Steve (Heather) and Philip. Step father to Karen Smith (Doug), Ed (Jan) and Peter (Anita). Grandpa to Megan (Ryan), Erin (Darren), Hillery (Shawn), (late) Hannah, Cheryl (Nick), Tim (Julie), Adam, Alex, Ryan, Christine (Nick) and Michael. Great Grandpa to Benjamin, Cameron, Kaelyn, Maclyn, Maysen, Kingston, Hudson, Nathan, Ellie (Cory), Steve, Morgan, Evan and Conner. Great great grandpa to Sebastian. Brother of Mary (late Skip), Margaret (late Jack), Sharon (Alex). Predeceased by his parents G.A. and Ada Edwards and siblings, Gladys (late Bob), Bert (late Ruby), Chester (late Dee), Floyd (Winnie), Harold (late Pat), Erlyne (late Paul), and Joan. Warmly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.

Don was hospitalized in June 2025 where he remained until his passing. Don was active in the community as a basketball referee, softball umpire, ADSB trustee and president of the Lung Association.

Family and friends are invited to attend Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 from 11:00 am to 11:50 am. Private family memorial service to follow at 12:00 pm. High Priest Kevin Taylor officiating. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
