Donald Handley

HANDLEY, Warrant Officer Donald William Handley (Ret’d) CD left this life to meet his wife, Minerva on April 19th, 2011 in his 78th year. Don will be lovingly remembered by his children, Karen Sparks, Rhonda (Claude Lecours), Ron, Kate, step-children Danny Boston (Janna), Doran Boston (Nadine), Dennis Boston (Tina), Debbie Bouchard (Ronnie), Donna Boston (Al) and Doug Boston (Dollie). He will be dearly missed by many grandchildren, Amanda, Hannah, Holly, Mark (Jenny), Jamie (Jessie), D.J (Nicki), Carrie (Jeff), Britney (Bobby), Alicia, Shawn, J.C., Brian, Kevin (Sara), Amy (Matt), Athena (Jay), Carley, Kelsey, Geordon and 15 great-grandchildren. Don's sister, Audrey Donnelly (Jim) and her daughters, Judy (Clarence), Joanne (Tim), Janice, and Jackie will cherish their memories. Don was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Jessie Handley, his son, Gary Donald and his brother, Robert. Don will be especially missed by his mother-in-law, Bette (late George) Furkey and Jim and Shirley Furkey. Don was also the brother-in-law to Georgina (John) Naccarato. Don leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will also be missed by his army and golf buddies, plus his friends at the Great Northern Retirement Home, Legion and the Esquire Club. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 6 – 8 pm. Funeral Service to be celebrated on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 12 pm in the chapel. Rev. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are requested to assemble at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 12 noon for a memorial service for the late Donald Handley.
