She will be remembered as one of the kindest souls — someone who would give the shirt off her back to help anyone in need. She lived life with a wild spirit, a strong will, and a stubborn streak that made her uniquely herself. Her strength, loyalty, and fierce love for her family and friends will never be forgotten.
Much loved Wife of Randy Carroll. Cherished Mother of Janet Mount (Paul), Robbie Phillips, Andrew Phillips, Mandy Erdman (Kirk), Angie Carroll (Chris). Proud Grandma of Chanda Labelle, Dalen Labelle (Alexis), Lealund Phillips, Andrew Auffrey, Brayden Auffrey, Daynine Babic, Matteah Carroll, Keirstin Carroll. Great-Grandma of Oaklee and Lynkon.
Daughter of the late Leslie and Ruby Phillips. Predeceased by her siblings Judy Lewis, Lee Phillips, Ronald Phillips and Wendy Strachan. Survived by her sister Ingrid Lacrosse (late Rick Lacrosse).
She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Betty was known for her generous spirit, her humour, and her ability to always “figure something out”. If something needed to be done or made, Betty usually had the answer — and if she didn’t, she’d make sure Randy helped create it. She was the one you called for that random thing you needed, because somehow, she always came through.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the 3B Sault Area Hospital Staff for their care, compassion, and support.
In honour of Betty cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date when the sun is shining, air is warm and the Gin is cold. Memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to The Hospital for Sick Children Toronto or to Sault Shriners Club would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St East; 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the family.
