It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon McCulloch, who left this world peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Gordon is now reunited with his beloved wife, Mary-Lynne McCulloch, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, laughter and devotion. His journey continues beside her, just as it began hand in hand.
He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by his children Dori-Lynne Scheepmaker (late Rudi), John McCulloch (Patti), Marianne McCulloch (Randy Rose) and Shawna Nadeau (Ivan). Gordon was a proud and devoted father whose kindness and steady presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Gordon was also a papa and big papa, whose pride in his family knew no bounds. He took great joy in watching his family's sporting events, sharing stories, wisdom and love across generations.
He is lovingly remembered by his partner of 27 years, Marge Head, who brought him companionship and joy throughout the remaining years. Their bond was one of deep mutual respect, laughter and love.
Gordon was a proud and outstanding life-long member of the ELKS Lodge 341, F.O.E. 3991, The Royal Canadian Legion as well as the Moose Lodge of Sault Ste. Marie. He dedicated countless volunteer hours to his community and cherished the friendships he made along the way.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Sault Area Hospital ICU Unit, and 3B. The Palliative Care Team, Dr. S. White along with Donna Rae, Allison and Jamie from Bayshore and also the team at Medigas. We would also like to thank his niece Alyson Charron for her unwavering love and support. Your kindness, care and compassion brought peace and dignity to dad's final journey and our family is forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honour Gordon's memory and share the many stories that made him the remarkable man he was. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you take a moment to hold your loved one's close, share a memory, celebrate a life lived with quiet strength, deep love and dedication. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. -705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy can be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the family.
