Hugh Alton Masters

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Hugh Alton Masters.

Cherished son of the late Reg and Irma Masters. Beloved father of Bev (Barry), the late Danny and loving stepfather of Sharon, Adele (Jamie) James. Hugh will be missed by his siblings Ted, Harry, Donny, Nancy, Lynn. He is now reunited with his siblings Bob, Wes, Florence Anna, Angelina and Ernie. Special Papa of Jeff (Tianna), Tyler, Brad, Kristen and Brendon. Great Papa of Josh, Arabella, Lillian, Hunter, Carter, Seth and Scotty. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Hugh was a friend to many. A special friend to Casey, Rob, Jamie and his waterfront buddies.

Dad was well known by many people from the many years he spent at Algoma Steel, Stone’s Department, Scouting as well as the many years spent as a foster parent.

Dad was a very generous and kind hearted person. He would help anyone that he could. His favourite music was country and he loved the fiddle.

You will be missed but never forgotten.

A celebration of life in Hugh’s honour will be on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 5 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Eagles Club, 246 Wellington St. W.). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
