NICHOLSON (RANKIN), Joan – Passed away at the Sault Area Hospital Plummer Site on Sunday, July 3, 2011 with her family by her side at the age of 86. Dear wife of the late Carl Nicholson and the late Mel Rankin. Loving and caring mother of Carol (late Tom Caswell), John Rankin, Heather (Mike Scarfone), late Peter Rankin, Jane (Don Doucette) and Kathy (Peter Burry). Step-mother of Darwin Nicholson (Susan). Grandmother of Scott, Todd (Annette), Lynn (Eric), Lori-Ann, Mark (Cristin), Melissa (Drew) and Trevor. Step-grandmother of Joy and Danny. Great grandmother of Celeste, Brittney, Jamie and Carter. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Joan will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends at Clear Lake Camp. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2 pm until time of funeral service in the chapel at 4 pm. Rev. Deon Slabbert officiating.
