It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Ken at the age of 80. He was son of the late Antti and Anna Ruuska. Loving husband of Debbie Ruuska for 52 happy years. Proud father of Curtis (Marilyn) and Kerri (Scott). Much loved Grandpa of Alexandra, Trevor, Megan and Kayla. Great Grandpa of Dominic, Aurora and Freya. He leaves behind his brother Toivo (Lorrie) and sister Toini (late George). He leaves behind many other friends and relatives.
Ken will be fondly remembered for his love of trucking from the age of 17, where he was nicknamed "Mr. Peterbilt". He was well-known by his shiny trucks, they were his pride and joy. He loved to talk, and was a real people person and enjoyed company. His dedication to his trucking was only surpassed by his dedication to his family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to our neighbour Chantal for her care and compassion. Also, our best friend Cathy for being our rock. Special thank you also to the Goulais River Fire Rescue for their support and compassion.
There will be no formal funeral service at this time. A Celebration of Life in Ken's honour will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Goulais River Fire Department would be greatly appreciated by the family.
