Rodger Thomas Penney

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Rodger at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side.

He will be deeply missed by his wife of 40 years, Cheryl. Son of the late Thomas and Margaret Penney. Son-in-law of Bill and the late Pat Persian. Father of Mike (Gen), Rick (Cathy) and Ricky Penney. Brother of Louise (Earl) Gibbs, Walter (Peggy) and Perry (Janice). Brother-in-law of Beth, Sav (Sharon) and Billy.

Special Papa to Dezirae, Lexi, the late Damon, Brantley, Braelyn, Morgan, Dawson, Jordyn, Kellin and Jake. Great Papa to the late Haizlee. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Dr. Shafiee, Dr. Booth and the 3C nursing staff, especially Steph, Erika and his friend Ronnie for their care, compassion and kindness at this difficult time.

At Rodger’s request, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will be held by his family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
