

DIXON, Wilfred – After 91 years, we celebrate the life of a resilient fighter and wonderful man, Wilfred (Wilf) Dixon who was met with open arms by his beloved late wife of 67 years, Winnie, on January 20, 2014. Loving father of Ann Bumbacco (Ken) and Susan Grosso (Bill). Cherished and devoted grandad of Paul Grosso (Melanie), Stephanie Circelli (Mike), Kara Grosso (Chris Stocks), Stacie and Kelly Bumbacco. Proud great grandad Wilf of Brendan and Owen Grosso, Evan and Mae Stocks and Matthew and Gabriel Circelli. Wilf was born on July 15, 1922 in Normanby, England to the late Ernie and Alice Dixon. He was predeceased by his siblings Alice, Albert and Edna and is survived by his youngest sister Rita Hansen (Eric). Brother-in-law of Brian Allick (late Joan), late Gordon, late Eva Kettlewell (late Ken) and Walter Westcough (Alwyn). Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, January 27, 2014 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church (114 MacDonald Ave) at 1 pm. Father Pat Woods officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the FJ Davey Home Recreational Programs or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 would be appreciated.
