William Iles

ILES, William – With heavy hearts, we honour the life of a great man William Dudley Iles born July 6, 1946 in Owen Sound and passed away peacefully Thursday, December 19, 2013 in Sault Ste. Marie. Beloved father to Kerri Sword (Kim), Kelli Montero (Frank), Sandi Donald (Greg), Stacey Wardlaw (Deryl) and Bill Iles Jr. Loving Papa to Zach and Ben Sword, Alex and Alia Montero, Abby Donald, Aedan and Peanut Wardlaw. Son of the late Wilfred and Ethel Iles. Brother of Winnifred Kane, Marlene Albert (Bert) and Dennis Iles (Elizabeth). Special uncle to Katherine, Cheryl, Kim and Christine. Bill retired from Algoma Steel after 30 years of work. He had the most amazing work ethic and was well respected because of it. Bill was most proud of his beautiful grandchildren – he passed along wisdom, courage, strength and most of all an amazing sense of humour. Bill was charming, funny and would open his heart and home to all. Bill had many interests but loved the outdoors the most. He felt most at home at camp, preferably with a fishing rod (or a glass of whiskey) in hand. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 6–9 pm. Funeral service to follow in the chapel on Monday, December 23, 2013 at 10 am. Rev. Phil Miller officiating. Memorial contributions to ARCH would be appreciated.
