Betty Ann Berger Dixon

Betty Ann Berger Dixon, 85, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born and reared in Athens, GA, and attended local schools there. Betty and her beloved husband Eugene moved to Savannah in 1973. She was a Homemaker and a member of The Cross Road Baptist Church. Betty was a free spirited person and always saw the good in everything and everybody. She was an inspiration and a friend to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Eugene Dixon of Savannah; two brothers, Daniel Zuber of Lancaster, CA., David Berger of Athens, GA; a sister, Linda Coley of Athens, GA, several nieces and nephews. Visitation: 10:00-11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at The Cross Road Baptist Church. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church with Rev. Buddy Wasson officiating, with burial to follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
