Brenda Bankston Bryant

Brenda Bankston Bryant, 63, of Savannah, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011 at Memorial Health University Medical Center with her family at her bedside. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Eugene Bankston, a brother, Johnny Eugene Bankston and a baby neice, Tracey Ann Kennedy. Brenda was born in Macon, GA, and lived in Savannah all of her life. She received her Bachelors degree in Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University and later her Masters degree from Georgia Southern University. Brenda taught in various schools throughout Chatham County for 30 years and at her retirement was an assistant principal. She was an avid lover of animals especially cats and had attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Brenda will be greatly missed by her family, friends and cats. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Bankston, a sister, MaryAnn Kennedy- Vines of Savannah; four neices, Allison Kennedy Waters, (Brian) Nicole Kennedy Scruggs, (Keith) Stephanie Bankston Richardson, (Michael) and Jessica Bankston James, (Bryan) one great-neice, seven great-nephews, one great-great niece, and Michele Bankston. A Memorial Service is planned for a later date. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart, Lung Diabetes or Cancer Association.
