He was a born again Christian who was an avid golfer and fisherman. He worked as a golf caddy at local golf courses and as a grounds keeper at Bacon Park Golf Coarse
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hampton.
He is survived by his mother, Gaby deLaet, his two sisters Sonya Takats and brother-in-law John Takats and Sharon Hampton and brother-in-law Tim Jones. He also has a niece and a nephew, Christa Candanedo and Andy Candanedo.

There will be a visitation held Tuesday at 5 P.M. with a memorial service following at 6 P.M.
