Cheryl Ann Dixon Hudson

Cheryl “Sissy” Dixon Hudson, 61, of Savannah, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Hospice House Savannah. She leaves a sad husband, Danny William Hudson, family, and friends who mourn her passing. She was born February 13, 1950 in Savannah to Joy Marie and Gordon Ulmer Dixon. She was preceded in death by her parents. She married Danny Hudson, the love of her life, in 2001. She is survived by her two sons; Christopher Michael (Nora) Quigley and grandchildren Logan and Bryn of Lawrenceville, Ga., Sean Allen (Deanna) Quigley and grandchildren Alvin and Trey of Texas; a brother David (Kim) Dixon; two sisters, Yvonne (Murray) Smith and Terri (Bill Moore) Garafolo. She also leaves behind stepchildren Michelle Hudson Seelbinder and her husband Jason, Keith and Amanda Hudson, and Chris Hudson, precious aunt Margaret Dixon Phillips, and an uncle, Joseph Dixon in Florida, as well as her much loved nieces and nephews. Visitation is Friday, Sept. 16th from 6-8 pm at Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Saturday Sept. 17th at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Father Joseph Smith officiating. Interment and graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Maye River Baptist Church Cemetery near Bluffton, SC. The family wishes to thank Dr. Igor Astinov, the nursing and technical staff in the intensive care units at Memorial Hospital, and the caring staff at Hospice House Savannah for their sweet and professional care of her and her entire family.
